And welcome to my blog!!! After long and hard procrastination and a constant reminder of my friends that I need to start my blog... Here I am!
I chose this day to start, cause June is one of my favorite months of the year. In 3 days I'll be celebrating my 31st b-day. I'll be finishing my second year of studying fashion next week friday. My boyfriend also celebrates his birthday this month and I'm also going to Aruba at the end of June to visit and spend time with my family.
So all in all today was THE day for me to start my blog.
I'm from Aruba and I've been living in Holland for 9 years. I moved to Holland to study. I studied and finished my degree in nursing. After finishing that I did a couple of other studies that weren't meant for me, cause in my heart I knew I wanted to study fashion. So, in 2011 I decided to follow my passion and do what I wanted to do for myself. I started studying fashion at the Akademie Vogue in Amsterdam and I'll be in my third year in September.
I still have so much to learn about fashion, but being a student at the Akademie Vogue is helping me to step out of my shell. I'm noticing right now that I'm starting to change my style and I'm learning to accept the fact that I don't have one specific sense of style that I love. How can I?? I'm a gemini at heart. Ever changing, ever evolving, ever analyzing. I just love fashion and I'm teaching myself to step out of my comfort zone.
One day I can be a girly girl wearing a dress and booties with heels. Another day I might just be rocking a jeans, a sweater and sneakers. And that's ok.
Now... Back to my blog. Todaystoppings will be a blog where I'll be posting all kinds of things that inspire me and that I want to share with you.
You'll be able to see posts that are fashion related (after all that's my field of expertise) but you'll also able to read quotes and articles that might not always be fashion related.
